The lower Chesapeake Bay offers angling enthusiasts a greater assortment of game fish than any other region in the entire Chesapeake Bay region.  If you're looking for piscatorial variety, there is no better fishing destination than Hampton and the Virginia Beach area anywhere in the Mid-Atlantic.  Whether you're after cobia, Virginia rockfish (a.k.a. stripers), or the diminutive spot, you'll find them all here during their seasons.  In addition, the Virginia fishing season is lengthy, lasting from April to late January.  Something always seems to be biting regardless of the time of year.

Two Convenient Virginia Sport Fishing Locations

Superior Charter Fishing from Hampton or Virginia Beach

From spring through mid fall, Capt. Olson meets his clients at the city docks in downtown Hampton.  Late fall and winter rockfish (Virginia striper) charters depart from Rudee Inet in Virginia Beach.  Lodging, dining and entertainment are readily available at both locations.  Both sites are easily accessible from Interstate 64.
